Is it more advantageous to go shopping in France, even if you live far away? We did the test for you, the result is surprising!

For our comparison, we took a brand present on both sides of the border: Intermarché. On the Belgian side, in the Huoise region, we bought about ten products. Then, 65 km further in Givet, we filled a shopping cart with the same items. Verdict: 18 euros saved.

No wonder that in the car park of the Intermarché de Givet, we come across more Belgian plates than French plates. And at the checkout, faced with the crowds, the employee tells us that they have calculated the difference between the Belgian and French prices: “It can go up to 200 euros on the very large shopping carts, between our two countries” .
