Israel and Morocco or how Algiers shapes the “good culprit” and Judeophobia on lies and confusion

By Hassan Alaoui

The Algerian leaders and with them a certain elite, a gagged press and all the lobbies at their heels are participating in the violent media or other war which does not say its name against Morocco. With the propensity to designate it as the Zionist State or the Zionist ally or even the Zionist valet, and so on… A media denial, we say, intellectual and political which refers us to this “single thought” at the work since the end of the cold war and its bipolar pattern. This speech takes up the ideology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, today the close friend of Algeria…

Decidedly, the Kingdom of Morocco will never cease to be the scapegoat and the object of the diversion of the Algerian leaders. A quidam who could no longer take the ramblings of the Algerian leaders, exhausted and tired of listening to their propaganda, spoke directly to Saïd Chengriha, this blacksmith to tell him: “ but since you believe you defend the Palestinians better and more than others to the point that you replace them, since you insult the State of Israel and qualify it as a Zionist, you condemn Morocco in the same way, in short, you ask to fight the latter, show us what you are capable of, come “liberate Palestine”, send your men to Gaza…”! How not to give credit to this judicious remark, coming out of the guts of any Israeli citizen who, tongue-in-cheek, will retort in the same tone?

The war of words, I mean the one that the press under the power of the Algerian military junta believes to be waging against the Kingdom of Morocco never ceases to amaze us. Journalists who only have a pitiful appearance by name, scribblers in the pay, roughnecks from the propaganda sub-prefecture, blinded ignoramuses, and that goes without saying sorcerer’s apprentices of lies: a robotic corporation with language that is always the same, reflex pavlovian as any honest observer of the Algerian scene would say. The seriousness of this situation is that these brave people, in the wake of the French colonizers, believed, still believe, to write our history and shape our future.

Some zealous commentators go so far as to imagine, invent and describe in all shame drunk a definitive eclipse of King Mohammed VI from the scene and his voluntary exile from the Kingdom. With psychotic relentlessness, they quickly announced the end of our country, taking turns from one another, inventing strikes and social movements, even daily demonstrations and revolts, in short, a permanent popular uprising of the Moroccan people against Monarchy and power. The most astonishing thing, however, is that no foreign newspaper worthy of the name reports such information or worries about anything in this direction. In the culture of denial, ignorance and ” fake-news », the Algerian press has become a master, as well as in the art of splitting hairs. We will remember from this furious jealousy that the Kingdom of Morocco arouses among the Algerian soldiers, an irascible bad faith to reverse the roles, or downright to make substitution with impunity. The Palestinian question in this case which is, if I may say so, Moroccan because Morocco chairs the Al-Quds Committee founded by Hassan II and has supported his cause unceasingly for more than forty years, is under the threat of a vulgar ” recovery policy by Algeria which, without warning and in violation of simple ethics, attributes an unexpected role to President Tebboune, who suddenly became the leader of this cause between night and day… lanterns that with a check for 100 million dollars slipped into the hands of Mahmoud Abbas nine months ago, we were going to change the situation or diminish in any way the esteem of the Palestinians towards Morocco and their gratitude to the regard to his King.

Morocco Israel, like on velvet

Since their normalization in autumn 2020 under the leadership of the former President of the United States, Donald Trump and within the framework of the protocol known as d’Abraham Morocco and Israel have made unsuspected progress on the road to rapprochement. No other Arab country can now take advantage of this dense and multiform proximity with the Jewish state. Nor can anyone else claim to reach this level of cooperation so quickly in such a short time that makes their relationship almost exceptional. The multidimensionality of what should now be called the broad-spectrum partnership is matched only by their deep desire to reconnect with both history and memory.

It should be emphasized that by restoring their relations – and in the process their memory – Morocco and Israel have responded to the implicit and deep appeal of their respective peoples. A community of nearly 1 million Moroccan citizens living in Israel and their descendants certainly constitute an irrefutable blood bond, so anchored in our souls that it will be constantly inscribed in the irresistible common destiny. Forged in the irreversible perspective that has been established since December 2020, the model of partnership between the two countries, an upward evolution requires, has evolved into an organic alliance. The numerous Israeli-Moroccan political, economic, social, cultural, touristic, military, religious and other agreements reflect both a rich and deep irreducible diversity and a transcendental harmony.

Every country in the world – except a handful of them – maintains relations with the State of Israel or aspires to do so. The State of Israel was created in 1948 and had been recognized by the international community and in particular by the Soviet Union, the first communist state if ever there was one. These countries are not therefore Zionist, and all or almost all are now calling for respect for the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people, for the creation of an independent state alongside the State of Israel, in other words the establishment of two States which would coexist in understanding, harmony and mutual respect. For more than forty years, the late Hassan II campaigned for this democratic formula, taken up with a conviction anchored in the body by King Mohammed VI.

When the Algerian government attacks Morocco with violence following the normalization of its relations with Israel, it gets its finger in the eye, it is totally hypocritical, because it does not say a word when it is the Emirates United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Egypt, Sudan and even Saudi Arabia which, officially or on the sly, maintain excellent relations with the Jewish State, buy technologies from it, including the Pegasus system provided by NSO, by beyond their ritual condemnation of his policy towards the Palestinians. On the other hand, there remains a revolting impression of the attitude of the Algerian government, which is giving lessons, which has never spent anything in the past for Palestine, which attacks Morocco while sparing the others – all others – countries that recognize and work with Israel. Or this blatant hypocrisy of not having reacted in any way when Mahmoud Abbas – Palestinian leader by default – came to collect the famous check for 100 million dollars from Tebboune and the next day had, with a hug displayed, met the Minister of Defense at his home. Israeli Benny Gantz. In other words, a slap and a snub to Algeria…

In the name of Algerian anti-Semitism

Low-level Algerian anti-Semitism hardly deceives! It is maintained by a junta for expansionist purposes against the Kingdom of Morocco. It proceeds from a primary and vulgar cabal against the latter, the task of slandering him entrusted to the shoddy press which is unleashed more than ever against our country with fallacious quibbles, a Stalinist discourse which sends us back, alas! and three times alas! in the last decades of the last century. That responsible Algerian leaders, media and social networks acquired by them hold the same speech with the same refrain on a so-called ” Moroccan-Israeli danger on the Algerian borders » even against the security of the Arab world and the world…seems truly bewildering and stems from paranoid psychopathology…The ambivalence of the junta which rules Algeria has no limit, and President Tebboune – all in his unfortunate Manichaeism –takes up the discourse of another age on its own, using the confusion aggravated on the fallacious and deadly pretext of denouncing Zionism and short-sighting a no less serious anti-Semitism which is, after all, the ideological emblem inscribed on the pediment of his power.
