JERUSALEM – Two months into the Israel-Hamas war that began on October 7th, the Palestinian people have been bombarded with bullets and bullets. Heavy bombardment and shelling of southern Gaza’s second largest city, Khan Younis, continued throughout the night. In the heart of the city, there was a heavy firefight between the Israeli army and Hamas. Hospitals were filled with hundreds of women and children injured in the bombings. UN aid deliveries have also stalled throughout Gaza.

The Israeli army, which has almost completely captured northern Gaza, entered southern Gaza after a week-long cease-fire.

Khan Yunis, where hundreds of thousands of people who fled northern Gaza have sought refuge, has become a war zone, and the people are in a dire situation with no place to escape. The Israeli army suggested moving to a small town called Al Mawazi. The area is smaller than an airport.

The World Health Organization has said that the crisis in Gaza is worsening by the minute. The organization’s Gaza representative, Richard Peiperkorn, said that heavy bombing was taking place everywhere, including Rafah.

It’s been 2 months since electricity and fuel supply stopped in Gaza due to Israeli blockade. 80% houses were destroyed. Most hospitals are closed. The rest of the hospitals are also at a standstill.

Phone and internet have been canceled from 4th of this month. Journalists are not allowed in Gaza without military escort, making it impossible to know what is really happening there. Currently, Rafah is the only place where UN aid is distributed. However, it is impossible to reach there because it is full of refugees. The Palestinian Authority has called for international intervention to halt a planned march by far-right Israeli groups to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem today.
