The coat, which was worn by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a ceremony in Moscow on Friday, was valued at Rs 10 lakh. Putin arrives in Italy on the eighth anniversary of the Crimean occupation of Ukraine in 2014 by Italian fashion brand Laura Piana. Putin, who wore a foreign coat during the ceremony, chanted Russian patriotic songs and chanted slogans of self-sufficiency.
The event was held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow and was attended by over 2 lakh people. Thousands turned out at the stadium after punching tickets because of forced attendance. Meanwhile, Putin’s speech was cut short during a live broadcast, sparking controversy. The Kremlin explained that the transmission was interrupted by a technical problem
