Jaber jewelry stores, located in the commercial center in the city of Nabatiyeh, were subjected to a professional robbery by an unknown woman in her forties, who managed to steal a private bag containing $80,000.
The owner of the shop, Muhammad Jaber, indicated that a woman, whose face was shown by surveillance cameras, is not a customer of our shops, nor is she from the region. She took advantage of the crowding inside the shop, especially on this day, on Monday, and the crowding of the weekly popular market in Nabatiyeh, and she moved around the shop in the midst of the crowd, as the cameras show. And she reached out to a number of women’s bags who were in the store buying jewelry, until she managed to steal a special bag containing 80 thousand dollars, a gun and personal papers that were in a side locker, and left without anyone noticing, and later we were alerted of the theft and we watched the surveillance cameras again. We were able to identify the thief’s face.”
Jaber pointed out that “the security authorities concerned with the theft were informed, and the picture of the thief was circulated on social media, and we announced a valuable prize for anyone who knows something about it.”
