Journalist Dima Sadek, in the “It’s Time” program with journalist Mersal Ghanem via mtv, ridiculed the court ruling issued in the lawsuit filed against her by the National Movement and the movement’s lawyer’s comment against her by saying, “I did not read it,” meaning that she does not pay any attention to it.
She added, “The Free Movement wants to fortify itself by issuing a court ruling against me and against anyone who attacks them.”
And she continued, “We are witnessing the weakness of the current after the October 17 revolution and the popular movements against it because of the repression it exercised on its opponents.”
And she added, “We say to the Free Patriotic Movement, when you were in power and when the President of the Republic was in power, ‘We would not have supported you.'”
Regarding the campaign of solidarity with her, she said: “I want to thank all the lawyers and judges who tried to help me by forming a coalition to defend him, and I also want to thank all the Lebanese people who supported her in this case because they consider themselves in danger from what happened.”
And about the reason for the lack of solidarity with the “LBCI” channel, Sadiq was surprised, asking: “How did a station like LBCI not mention this file, which is a message to everyone and does not concern me only.”
Regarding the intervention of some judges in the case in favor of Basil, Sadiq considered that it is not appropriate for a judge to say his opinion about another judge, “surprising how the obligation of reservations by some judges is violated during the era of Ghada Aoun and following what she says.”
Regarding an old tweet by Bassil, I mentioned Sadiq Gebran Bassil with the tweet he published in defense of Jean Assi, because of his insult to President Michel Suleiman.
And she concluded, “We are continuing in the battle for freedom and victory is near. The Free Patriotic Movement is a germ that infected the Lebanese culture, because of the practices it carried out during the October 17 revolution, when Ghada Aoun arrested children after they tore up pictures of Michel Aoun and pursued opponents.”
