The US court has approved reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s request to officially end her marriage to international rapper Kanye West, so she will become single, and the nickname “West” has been removed from her name.
Kardashian appeared on video in court, while West did not appear in person or via video, people reported.
The site stated that the couple will continue to resolve the remaining issues in their divorce case related to custody of their four children and the division of property between them, and under the decision of Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran, the reality TV star has become single.
Kim had filed for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021, following a marriage that lasted seven years and produced four children, Chicago, Salem, North and St.
The judge’s decision comes as Kanye faces intense criticism for his handling of their divorce and his harassment of his ex-wife and new boyfriend Pete Davidson.
