The scene took place in two parts. Initially, it was an accident that occurred on the E17 in the direction of Antwerp. A car hit the guardrail before racing back up the traffic lanes and crashing into the back of a truck.
A rather impressive shock which prompted many motorists to stop to help the driver of the damaged car. However, he didn’t expect his reaction. Wounded, the man indeed reacted aggressively by pulling out a knife and threatening the witnesses who came to help him, as explained by the Newspaper.
If he then tried to flee on foot, the man was arrested when help arrived. The latter quickly understood the reason for his strange behavior. In the vehicle was a large sum of money related to drug trafficking. The driver was also under the influence of narcotics at the time of the accident.
Wounded, he was taken to hospital and arrested.
