Kyungdong Pharmaceutical announced on the 17th that its consolidated sales in the first half of this year were 87.4 billion won, an increase of about 7% compared to the same period of the previous year. During the same period, operating profit was 5.5 billion won and net profit was 2 billion won.
In the first half of the year, separate sales were 85.5 billion won, operating profit was 5.8 billion won, and net profit was 2.7 billion won.
The top-line growth is attributable to the normalization of business centered on local hospitals and hospitals following the lifting of social distancing, and brisk sales of ETC related to respiratory diseases. However, operating profit decreased due to increased R&D and investment costs to secure growth engines.
