During the last presidential election, suspicions arose that the dormitory for the employees of the Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, who lived next door to the Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, was actually used as the candidate’s hidden camp office.
The police, who are investigating this case, believe that Bae, a close aide to Kim Hye-kyung and a key figure in the ‘corporate card suspicion’, was involved in the contract for this dormitory and is investigating the circumstances.

An apartment in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
This is the place where Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Jae-myung lived in the house until the election after the sale 20 years ago.
It is a structure where two households live on each floor.
However, two years ago, a dormitory for employees of the Gyeonggi-do National Housing and Urban Corporation moved into the house next door to the then-Governor of Gyeonggi-do, Lee.
I rented a 200-square-meter apartment for two years with a deposit of 950 million won, and suspicions have been raised that he may have sought Lee’s secret presidential campaign under the pretext of a dormitory.
The police, who are investigating this case, are said to have recently called in a real estate agent who brokered global contracts to investigate.
In the process, it was confirmed that the person who put up the house next door to Lee for sale was Mo Bae, a former secretary of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office, who served as the de facto secretary to his wife, Kim Hye-kyung.
It is said that Mr. Bae, not the landlord, participated in the real estate transaction.

“It’s not a common case in itself. It’s very risky from a real estate standpoint.”
The owner of the house next door to this lawmaker is Mr. Kim, in his 80s, and his son and wife lived there until it was rented out as a dormitory.
While it has been claimed that the couple is closely related to Bae and Kim Hye-kyung, the police are investigating how Bae was involved in the real estate transaction.
Regarding this, an official from Lee’s side said, “It’s something we don’t know.”
The official also insisted, “The suspicion of obscenity is raised because the suspicion of the non-sun camp itself is not true.”
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation announced that the location of the dormitory and the identity of the resident staff were exposed, and that the dormitory will be maintained until the 20th, when the contract ends.
