It is an odorless, colorless, inaudible gas which can cause headaches, nausea, vomiting. That’s what happened here. It is used to cool fridges, it is a non-toxic gas in the event of a small leak. But in the event of a larger leak, it can cause respiratory problems, this is still quite rare. »
Four ambulances were dispatched to the scene to take care of six staff members. Slightly intoxicated, they were dispatched to different hospitals “in order to carry out blood tests”, concludes the colonel. Repairers were expected on site to carry out the usual checks.
