Life is fragile, take time to live it

Time often escapes us, without our realizing it. Don’t wait for your old age to start enjoying it.

Life is fragile, take time to live it

Time is one of life’s great treasures. However, when one is young and in good health, one has the illusion that this resource is inexhaustible. As a result, we waste time and constantly postpone our real priorities, such as spending time with our loved ones or creating our own happiness.

We need to be more aware of the fact that life is short and our hours are numbered from birth. We cannot recover the time that has already passed.

Unfortunately, many people only realize this when it is too late. They then want to run after the years that have passed and regret not having used them well. We invite you here to reflect on this and to begin to take the time to live it fully.

A man who dares to waste an hour has not discovered the value of life.

~ Charles Darwin ~

What are we wasting time on?

Do you usually put off your family and friends because you have a lot of work? Have you been saying for months or years that you are going to start exercising, but that moment never comes? Do you think your happiness will come when you finally achieve a certain goal? Your responsibilities do not allow you to take this long-desired trip?

This list could be completed endlessly. Life passes while you wait for that day that may never come.

Today, most people are captive to time. They live life in a hurry, trying to complete their tasks before the end of the day.

There are many people who never have time for anything, because they are immersed in so many things. Life passes in front of them without their realizing it.

But we also have the other extreme, people who have enough free time but waste it on meaningless activities. For example: spending hours watching uninteresting TV shows, or scrolling through social networks and criticizing the lives of others.

Our existence is wasted in activities that subtract or add nothing to our quality of life. Indeed, despite the fact that work brings us economic stability, if it is excessive or unpleasant, it will harm important aspects such as mental health and physical health.

It is therefore relevant that we know how to identify the thieves of our time in order to fight them with determination. It is about achieving a balance in which we can perform our duties without neglecting other vital aspects.

The feeling that time is out of control is true, in part. We can fix it.

Life is fragile… So live!

We’re so used to living on autopilot that it’s normal that we don’t know how to manage our time. Although there are no magic formulas for this task, we can start by establishing certain habits that will give us time to live a full life. Let’s see some of them together.

Know your priorities

The first step is to make a list of our priorities, goals and objectives. If we know what we want and where we are going, we can better orient and manage our actions.

And when we talk about goals, we don’t just include business or career goals. It is important that you consider all aspects of your life, including personal and social.

In this list, you should include activities that contribute to your physical and mental well-being, as well as actions that allow you to cultivate your personal relationships.

live in the moment

The only thing we can be certain of is what is happening right now. The future will always be uncertain and we can never change the past.

Therefore, channel your energy into making the present the best of times. For this, get away from where you don’t want to be, do what you love, surround yourself with people who appreciate you, be grateful for the good things you have, avoid rushing.

Seek happiness and fulfillment every day.

Organize your time

Personal diaries are the perfect tool for managing time. If we don’t set aside dedicated space for essential tasks, routine activities will end up consuming all the available time.

So set deadlines for the different tasks. This will help you set boundaries and have more control.

The goal is to reserve a place for what is important, including recreation. Let’s not forget that these moments are as relevant as those we reserve for homework.

Managing your time using a calendar is a simple way to organize your priorities.

Life is fragile… Take the time to live

Brief, taking the time to live is consciously investing your time in what fulfills us and makes us happy. It’s appreciating what we have here and now, without waiting for tomorrow to create what we want.
