Los Paris 2024 Olympic Games They are getting closer and this April 16th the Olympic flame lighting ceremony in the place where the games were born.
The event will last approximately 30 minutes and 48 performers will participate, chosen for their resemblance to the youth of ancient Greece as they are seen in status and other forms of art.
This ceremony takes place every two years in Olympia, to light the flame for the Summer and Winter Gameswhen the sun’s rays are focused inside a parabolic mirror and thus produce the flame.
The first time this event was held was for the Berlin Games 1936. Since then, a group of actresses have characterized themselves as priestesses and one asks the dios Apolor (the god of the sun) to help them light the torch.

As the years have passed, elements such as music, choreography, colors to the costumes, male dancers (known as kouroi) and touches related to the host country have been added.
