No time? blue News summarizes for you

Lionel Messi has been playing for Inter Miami since July. In the first twelve games, the Argentine scored eleven goals and won one title. However, on an Argentine TV channel, Messi is already talking about a possible departure. The 36-year-old is toying with playing in the Argentine league. More specifically, Messi wants to go back to his very first club love. Messi played for Newell’s Old Boys from the Argentinian city of Rosario until he was 13 years old, before moving to Barça.

Lionel Messi has only just arrived in the American MLS and the 36-year-old is already hinting at where his journey as a professional will take him. The magic flea has already hit Miami. So far he has scored eleven goals in twelve games and prepared five more – with the victory in the Leagues Cup, the world champion lifted his first trophy.

As a professional, Messi has so far worn three different shirts. The Argentinian wore the Barcelona dress during his heyday, dressed in blue and white for two years at PSG, he was rather unlucky, and at Beckham’s Inter Miami he is starting to shine again in the pink shirt.

Messi has an idea in his head

Messi reveals on “TyC Sports” which shirt he still wants to wear. “I always had the idea in my head to enjoy Argentine football, to play for Newell’s and to do it as a world champion.” This means that Messi is considering returning to his hometown of Rosario, the third largest city in Argentina, within the next three years.

As a youth at Newell’s Old Boys, Messi attracted attention for his footballing talent before moving to FC Barcelona as a 13-year-old. Messi has never played as a professional at his very first club, but according to him, this is likely to change.

His ambition to score goals in the Argentine league also means that Messi is not yet thinking about retiring: “I want to continue doing what I love. I don’t want to think about the future. I want to enjoy it as much as possible. What I love most is playing football.”

A second title with Miami soon in the bag?

Messi doesn’t even think about what will come after the end of his career: “What will I do after I end my career? I don’t think about it and I don’t want to think about it yet.”

All football romantics can look forward to more Messi moments in professional football. Next Thursday, in the final of the US Open Cup against Houston, Messi will have the opportunity to win his second title with Inter Miami.
