Malaysian Interior Minister Saifuddin Nasution inspected the hall dedicated to the “Makkah Road” initiative at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, in the presence of the initiative hall supervisor, representative of the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Abdullah Al-Aiban.

The minister was briefed on the completion of the terminal’s readiness to facilitate the pilgrimage journey, the organization of service at the airport, and the progress of its implementation procedures on the Saudi and Malaysian sides, and he met the initiative’s work team.

Nasution praised the “Makkah Road” initiative, which, since its launch in 2017, contributed to facilitating the completion of travel procedures for the pilgrims from Malaysia until their arrival in the Holy Land, extending his thanks to the Kingdom for this initiative.

The “Makkah Road” initiative receives the guests of Rahman, and their procedures from their countries are completed easily and smoothly, starting with issuing the visa electronically and taking vital characteristics, then completing passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure, after verifying the availability of health requirements, in addition to coding and sorting luggage according to transportation and housing arrangements. In the Kingdom, and upon their arrival, they transfer directly to buses to take them to their residence in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, with designated lanes, while service agencies deliver their luggage to their homes.
