Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Track Pass: Updated screenshot shows graphical improvements – ntower

The day after tomorrow many Nintendo fans will be back on the racing tracks of the Mushroom Kingdom: The first wave of the Booster Track Passes from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is in the starting blocks and adds eight tracks from previous spin-offs to the popular Nintendo Switch title. On Twitter, Nintendo took the approaching release as an opportunity to once again draw attention to the major expansion. We are shown pictures of four courses that appear, but one in particular caught the attention of fans online.

We’re talking about the view of the Coconut Boardwalk. Known from Mario Kart Wii, this unique track, which leads through a multi-storey department store, is relaunched with the booster track pass. So far nothing new, after all we already saw scenes in the announcement trailer. Compared to that material, however, the course in the freshly shared screenshot makes a more valuable impression. The whole environment relies on richer colors; the building’s windows show more realistic reflections; Light and shadow ratios have been adjusted; even characters have been modified or added to.

Our picture below shows you one Before and after comparison. On the left you can see the originally published screenshot from February 2022, on the right the screenshot uploaded today. We’re excited to see how the in-game tracks will make an impact.
