The work of the federal judicial police, the PJF, is in line with the first priority of the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office: the fight against drug trafficking.
This extraordinary deployment follows a thorough investigation, carried out discreetly for more than a year. Unlike many actions carried out over the past two years across the country, this one does not stem from information collected after the decryption of messages exchanged in SKY ECC messaging.
It is nevertheless the same type of groups of authors coming from the Balkans and mostly Albanian speakers.
The Federal Judicial Police as a whole aims to tackle serious and organized crime. The Charleroi PJF, assisted by other PJFs for this operation, demonstrates once again the added value of the complex and specialized investigations carried out by the experts of the judicial pillar.
Forty searches
The results of this collaboration between PJF, with the support of special units, civil protection and the CIK of Hainaut are up to the commitment of the police and justice:
– About forty simultaneous searches
– A dozen plantations dismantled for more than 10,000 cannabis plants
– Several dozen people arrested and deprived of their freedom
– Large seizures of money and luxury goods (cars, watches, bags, etc.)
– Weapons were also seized.
