The artist Khaled El Nabawy has officially contracted to star in the series for the upcoming Ramadan season, 2024, to re-present the novel “Mem’s Empire”, which was previously presented by the late artist Faten Hamama in cooperation with the late Ahmed Mazhar, in a cinematic film produced in the year 1972.

The series will be produced by “Aroma” company, and his son, the young artist Nour Al-Nabawi, is scheduled to participate in the starring role, and preparations will be made to begin filming during the coming period.

The audience is waiting for more details to be revealed about the work, and about the artist who will embody the same character presented by the artist Faten Hamama, while expectations indicate that Al-Nabawi will appear in the character embodied by Ahmed Mazhar.

It is noticeable in the artistic scene in Egypt that directors and production companies tend to re-present literary novels by major writers that have previously been presented in works, whether cinematic or dramatic, most notably the novel “Running Monsters,” which was previously presented in a film starring a large group of artists. The stars, most notably: Nour El-Sherif, Hussein Fahmy, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Hussein El-Sherbiny and others, are included in a drama series that will be shown in the upcoming Ramadan season.

Until now, the artists participating in the tournament have not been officially announced, after news spread about the participation of Mahmoud Abdel-Mughni and Nidal Al-Shafi’i in the main tournament, and they denied this.

In addition, the novel “The Late One,” one of the most famous novels by Egyptian writer Hassan Kamal, is expected to be turned into a drama series that will be shown in the next Ramadan season, according to its author’s statements, and the details are expected to be announced during the coming period.
