A recent report revealed that the company Microsoft You will gradually push the free Windows 11 update to your HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset, as the update will ensure continued platform support, monthly security service updates, and optimal performance.

Among the new features are developer tools such as Microsoft Edge WebView2, available in preview for HoloLens 2 – it gives developers the ability to embed HTML, CSS and JavaScript in native apps on the headset.

According to the Indian TOI website, another major addition is 3D annotations, giving users the option to annotate anything around them, whether on a surface, an object, or anywhere in the frame.

Microsoft is also adding Restricted Mode to the HoloLens 2 for businesses so they can control what content can appear on the mixed reality headset.

Microsoft says that users are free to stay on Windows 10, but if they want to use the newer operating system, they just have to go to the Check for updates section of Update & Security.
