The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 28th that it will conduct a campaign to revitalize small business owners in the restaurant business during the first week of the Golden Dawn Festival from the 30th to the 5th of next month. Discounts at restaurants and giveaways are provided.
The campaign can be posted on social network service (SNS) by listing the name of the restaurant, location, recommended menu, etc. along with a photo of the regular restaurant meal certification. Afterwards, if you leave a link to the post and a message of support for the owner of the restaurant in the comments on the official SNS event notice of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, such as Facebook and Instagram, you can receive a Kyochon Chicken Drink Set or Ohhui Hand Cream Set as a prize. Kyochon Chicken and LG Household & Health Care donated prizes for the SNS challenge.
Delivery platform companies and credit card companies are also contributing to the event. Baedal Minjok and Yogiyo provide discount coupons for accompanying festivals during the campaign to revive small business owners in the restaurant industry. Three companies, Nonghyup, Shinhan, and BC Card, offer a 10% billing discount when paying at Baeknyeon Store. Baeknyeon Store refers to a store that has been in existence for more than 30 years and has been steadily loved by customers and has been certified by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Baeknyeon Store provides prizes such as AirPods to customers who left proof of their visit on social media. The franchise Tang’s Budaejjigae provides a delivery discount during the event, and four directly managed stores of Kkankanhan Jokbal provide Makguksu to customers who mention the Donggong Festival. Local businesses such as Daegu Samsong 1957, Gyeyangsan Traditional Black Rice Walnut Snacks in Incheon, White Windmill Bakery in Suwon, Sandol Foods in Hongcheon, and Seorak Maple Bread in Sokcho also participate in the discount.
