Morocco is among the top 10 filming locations in the world

With 31 films, Morocco ranks tenth in the ranking of the best film locations in the world carried out by the travel agency Kuoni. The United States tops this ranking with 1,523 films shot in the country. They are followed by the United Kingdom (778 films)France (170 films)Italy (127 films) and Canada (105 films). Spain arrive fifth (61 films)followed by Germany (57 films)from Mexico (55 films) and Australia (34 films).

Besides, Kuoni established the ranking of the most searched filming locations in the world. This arrangement is dominated by the United States. The latter rose to first place in the ranking with the film Casablanca (60,500 searches) made in 1942. It is followed by the American films Stand By Me (60,500 searches)Carol (40,500 searches), Sweet Home Alabama (40,500 searches).

With 33,100 searches for PredatorMexico placed third. With 33,100 searches for Troy, Dark Shadows, Jumanji et The Notebookthe United Kingdom, the United States are, in turn, tied for third. Next is Greece, fourth, with 27,100 searches for the film M Mother My ! Morocco, fifth, with 22,200 searches for Gladiator and Thailand and the United States (5ᵉ equally) with respectively the films The Beach and Jawsthus closing the top 5 most searched filming locations in the world.
