Mosimane responds to Schubert’s attack: He used to play a match every week

Pitso Mosimane, coach of the first team in Al-Ahly club, responded to the attack launched by the media, Ahmed Schubert, against him during the last period.

Schubert, the former Al-Ahly club captain and former vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, had more than once criticized Mosimane for giving the Red Genie players negative breaks for long periods.

After the end of the press conference for Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad match, and while Musimani was leaving the conference hall, One of the attendees teased him that giving the players a new leave would bring him criticism from Schubert.

The South African coach responded with a laugh: “Schubert used to play a game every week, but the situation is now different,” referring to the pressure of matches that the team is currently experiencing, unlike what was happening during Ahmed Schubert’s time in the stadiums, when he was playing Al-Ahly One match per week.

Pitso Mosimane, however, reconsidered his speech before leaving the conference hall, and said, “But I love his son,” referring to Mustafa Schubert, the third goalkeeper in the Al-Ahly club.

Al-Ahly club defeated Al-Ittihad of Alexandria with a clean goal, scored by Louis Mickison, in the match that took place on Wednesday evening at Al-Ahly Wei Al-Salam Stadium, as part of the 12th round matches.

Musimani had announced during the press conference that Al-Ahly players had been given a negative rest from training for 24 hours, before the start of preparations for facing Al-Masry, in the general league competitions.
