“They have beaten us and thrown us to the ground”: San Marcos resident denounces abuses during PNP detention

After being released, the young resident and student of Saint MarkJudith Jáuregui, denounced mistreatment and abuse by the personnel of the National Police during and after the arrest.

“They have entered the university residence, breaking the entire door and they have hit us with their stick, they have pushed us, they have thrown us to the ground. I am a university resident and Mr. Miguel Rodríguez has brought me on the list and that is why they have kept me here more than a day,” he lamented.

In addition, he indicated that they were not given water or allowed to go to the toilets, in addition to beating the elderly and humiliating them. “The female police threatened us, they were mistreating the provincial daddies, we got in and threatened us, telling us that if we kept making a fuss they were going to take us to another place and they were going to punish us,” added the student from the high school Accounting.
