New Zealand beat South Africa by seven runs under the Duck Warth-Lewis-Stun rule in their pre-World Cup warm-up match.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl in the match held at the Green Field Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Devon Conway 78(73), Tom Latham 52(56) and Glenn Phillips 43(40) were the best for New Zealand.
New Zealand set a huge target of 321 in the match.
Lungi Nkiti and Marco Jansson took three wickets each for South Africa.
In reply, South Africa were 211-4 in 37 overs when the rain came as a villain. Opener Quinton de Kock remained unbeaten on 89 balls for South Africa. Rassie van der Dussen scored 51 runs and Heinrich Klaasen scored 39 runs.
