The violence that imposes drug trafficking and overwhelms vast areas of Rosario left this Saturday new episodes of savagery. The impunity with which the drug-trafficking hit men manages reaches such a point that in just over 12 hours two police headquarters were shot, first in Barrio Ludueña and then in neighboring Empalme Graneros.
During the early morning Two men on a motorcycle fired at least 18 shots at the front of Police Station 12, in Barrio Ludueña, occasion in which a patrol car that was in front of the police headquarters was also shot. When the attack took place, on the corner of Casilda and Solís, fortunately there were no injuries among the police personnel, one of whose mobiles tried to chase the attackers, but they could not find them.
As a sad postcard of what is lived in the humblest neighborhoods of the great city of Santa Fe, it is worth noting that this attack on the Ludueña neighborhood police station occurred just 5 blocks from the place where another drug attack had killed on Friday night a woman, wounded another and a baby of just 6 months.
In the attack on police station 12, the footage showed two subjects on a motorcycle who stopped for a few seconds on the corner in front of the police building, shot at the entrance glass and then escaped.
Already in the morning there were raids in an attempt to find the assassins, and several arrests were made, but it is still not known if it is actually those who started shooting at the police headquarters. In the report of the uniformed officers, it was only highlighted that three raids were carried out, with 7 detainees and the seizure of weapons, bulletproof vests and dozens of projectiles.
One of the homes raided is in Arevalo and Magellan, three blocks from the house that was the target of a hitman attack. A loaded 38-caliber revolver and 9-millimeter bullets were seized at the scene, in addition to two bulletproof vests. And in Montevideo at 7300, three men and two women were detained and two 9 mm pistols, a 40 caliber pistol, extendable and common magazines, and a backpack with bullets were seized. Meanwhile, in Los Chingolos at 300, in Cabin 9, a man and a woman were arrested with chargers of different calibers and a large quantity of 9-millimeter ammunition.
The other attack on a police headquarters in Rosario occurred this Saturday in broad daylight. It was 3:30 p.m. and the front of the 24th Substation, located on Juan José Paso and Sabin Avenue, in Empalme Graneros, was also the target of a hail of bullets, and as had happened in the previous case, the police personnel were unharmed. The assailants escaped with no trace of their whereabouts so far.
