These Xiaomi phones get MIUI 14 first
Above are some of the images Xiaomi shared at the MIUI 14 launch event. With the larger folders and icons, Xiaomi follows the competition a bit. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the promises of efficiency, performance and lightness of the new Android 13 interface will come true. Incidentally, third-party apps should also be able to benefit from the advantages, such as the MUI Photon engine, in order to save energy as well.
The following smartphones outside of the Xiaomi 13 series will receive MIUI 14 (China ROM) in January 2023:
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra
- Xiaomi 12S Pro
- Xiaomi 12S
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
- Redmi K50 Series
The next batch of MIUI 14 updates with the Xiaomi tablets (Xiaomi Pad 5 series and Redmi Pad) will apparently follow in April 2023. It is currently still unclear what the distribution of the global and EU ROMs will look like, but the international Xiaomi 13 launch event in the first quarter of 2023 should bring clarification at the latest.
