Oligui Nguéma obtained his PIN at the DGDI –

The President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, went on Monday to the General Directorate of Documentation and Immigration (DGDI) where he went to collect his certificate of the Personal Identification Number (NIP) which is compulsory to be establish the National Electronic Identity Card (CNIE) in a few months.

General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema was accompanied for the occasion by the Minister of the Interior and Security Hermann Immongault.

« Like his fellow citizens already registered on the electoral list since 2013 to date, through the Official Biometric Identity of Gabon (IBOGA), the Head of State took part in this exercise, not only for the example which comes from above, but also to obtain your NIP certificate, an essential document for the application for the National Electronic Identity Card (CNIE) in a few months », summarizes a press release from the Ministry of the Interior.

The campaign to issue Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) was launched on March 29 in Libreville.

Except for the DGDI, 11 other sites are dedicated to this campaign, in Libreville intramural, Owendo, Akanda and Ntoum. It concerns all Gabonese citizens aged 16 and over.

The personal identification number certificate is the only document which will give right to the national electronic identity card. Applicants must present a regular passport or legalized birth certificate. The certificate of nationality and the treasury receipt for citizens who have acquired Gabonese nationality.

The new cards will be issued in the coming days. Libreville has opted for the national electronic identity card to put its civil status file in order.
