The McClain family, who live in Livingston, Texas, made a startling discovery on Saturday.
On Saturday morning, John and Katharine McClain’s security camera captures a naked man trying to force open the doors of their vehicle. He finally flees with the neighbor’s truck.
Moments later, the couple’s dog begins to bark at the shed.
Intrigued, Mr. McClain goes there to see.
“When I opened the door, a baby was lying right next to the motorbike,” he said.
The child was examined at home before being taken to a hospital in Houston.
“I am a mom. I was just shocked,” Ms McClain said.
Later that day, authorities found the child’s father driving the stolen vehicle. This one had been abandoned behind the McClains’ property.
According to CCTV footage, the man held the baby in his arms for several hours in the shed.
The individual was taken into custody at the Polk County Jail for endangering the baby.
The child’s condition is unknown, but is not in critical condition.
