The trial between Ousmane Sonko and Adji Sarr has been reported to a special hearing to be held on Tuesday May 23.
However, Ousmane Sonko’s lawyers are questioning the judge’s decision to set the hearing in just one week. They are asking for a delay of 30 to 45 days in order to better prepare their defence.

In this case, Mr. Sonko is accused of rape and death threats against Adji Sarr, an employee of a beauty salon in the capital.
