This morning, in “L’heure des pros” on CNews, Pascal Praud returned to his editorial from the day before entitled “Crépol: a new version?”, which was commented on on social networks. “Yesterday, I was very attacked, particularly by journalists, after what I said about the rewriting of Crépol,” he began before reading the message posted on X by Thomas Legrand, columnist at “ Release”.
The latter described CNews as “a channel without journalists, without reporting, just with polarizing polemicists” and which “teaches a lesson to real journalism”. “Praud and CNews are ideological commentary before the facts,” concludes Thomas Legrand in his message.
“I remind you that in Crépol the prosecutor does not speak, the gendarmes do not speak. Yesterday, there was nothing new officially. That is why we did not talk about it. I am responding to Mr. Legrand on social networks and I see that it is defended by all of La France insoumise against my modest person,” detailed Pascal Praud.
The journalist then mentioned BFMTV columnist Pablo Pillaud-Vivien, who is paid by the news channel directed by Marc-Olivier Fogiel. “BFMTV is sending us one of its emissaries. I understand that at BFM we have been tense lately. For BFM and Mr. Pablo Pillaud-Vivien, I have ideological fantasies and I am a racist. I thank the leaders of BFM for send us their emissaries,” continued Pascal Praud.
And added: “‘Quotidien’ targeted us in the same way. Every day, ‘Quotidien’ puts a target on my back with comments that are false. What Julien Bellver said [chroniqueur de l’émission de TMC, ndlr] is factually false about me (…) I am willing for us to be attacked morning, noon and evening. I want Rodolphe Belmer, CEO of TF1, to support the idea that I become a target every day for Quotidien. I don’t mind. I want him to continue. Keep going! Every time, I respond. It’s rare that I attack.”
