Piggly Wiggly Upgrades eCommerce With eGrowcery Platform

Piggly Wiggly Food For Less is rolling out a complete digital overhaul across its Southeast footprint, transitioning its online ordering infrastructure to the eGrowcery platform by the end of this month. Operated by McDaniel Family Investments, the regional grocery chain manages 14 supermarket locations spanning Montgomery, Alabama, central and south Georgia, and the Florida panhandle.

Upgrading the Digital Shopper Interface

The operational shift gives the Sneads, Florida-headquartered retailer access to customized search functions, an integrated loyalty experience, and specialized time-saving fulfillment tools. Cody McDaniel, co-owner of Piggly Wiggly Food For Less, noted that the platform directly addresses customer demand for efficiency. “Our shoppers want a fast and easy way to get their groceries, and that’s exactly what this upgrade delivers,” McDaniel stated.

The new partnership grants the grocery operator a single point of contact for technical support, streamlining troubleshooting and deployment. “With eGrowcery as our partner, we now have a single point of contact who answers our questions and provides solutions quickly, allowing us to stay focused on giving customers a seamless online shopping experience from start to finish,” McDaniel explained.

Expanding the White-Label Ecosystem

For Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based eGrowcery, the agreement marks another deployment in a broader industry trend. The platform developer has built its business model on migrating regional grocery chains and independent operators off other eCommerce platforms and onto its white-label unified commerce infrastructure.

Patrick Hughes, CEO of eGrowcery, emphasized that modern consumer expectations dictate the technology requirements for independent grocers. “Piggly Wiggly Food For Less understands that today’s shoppers expect convenience without compromise,” Hughes said. “That’s why we’re proud to give them and all of our clients the technology and best practices to deliver a fast, frictionless online shopping experience their customers love.”

eGrowcery Rollout Completes Across 14 Locations This Month

The eGrowcery rollout is scheduled for completion across all 14 locations by the conclusion of the month. The digital upgrade runs parallel to the chain’s traditional in-store strategies, which include a Cost Plus 10% pricing philosophy, a proprietary Power Buy Program, full-service meat departments, and fresh poultry packaging.
