President Vladimir Putin claimed that the West failed to organize a blitzkrieg economic war against Russia, and tore off all masks of decency, began to act rudely and showed its true nature.

During a meeting with officials in the Kremlin that was televised, the president assured that “the operation is carried out in accordance with pre-established plans,” and reiterated that the attack sought to prevent “ethnic cleansing” in Russian-speaking areas.
The Russian special operation in Ukraine is proceeding successfully, while the Russian military is doing everything possible to avoid civilian casualties, Putin said.
“As for the tactics of the military operations, which were developed by the Russian Defense Ministry and our General Staff, they have fully justified themselves,” he said.
Putin noted that “the kyiv authorities” through various channels, in order to avoid senseless bloodshed, were asked not to engage in hostilities, but simply to withdraw their troops from the Donbass; they didn’t want to do it.
He also compared the current fight against all things Russian abroad to the anti-Semitic pogroms in Nazi Germany.
“All the verbal tinsel about political correctness, the inviolability of private property, freedom of expression: all this disappeared overnight, even the Olympic principles were trampled, they did not hesitate to settle accounts with the Paralympic athletes, this is such a sport outside of politics.”
“In many Western countries, people are subject to real persecution just because they are from Russia, they are denied health care, children are expelled from schools, their parents are deprived of their jobs, and music, culture and entertainment are banned. Russian literature,” Putin listed.
“Simply in direct analogy with the anti-Semitic pogroms that the Nazis organized in Germany in the 30s of the last century, and then their henchmen from many European countries who joined Hitler’s aggression against our country during the Great Patriotic War,” detailed.
“If the Russian troops acted only in Donbas, this would not have led to the elimination of the threat, a new front line would have been established there,” said the head of state, who also pointed out that the Western powers “are pushing the kyiv authorities to bloodshed by supplying weapons and mercenaries”.
