Specifically, at 8:45 a.m. on February 2, at bunker 5 of the ship ORIENTAL GLORY with a tonnage of 68,000 tons (belonging to Phuong Dong Shipping and Trading Joint Stock Company, address at No. 278, Ton Duc), Thang, Hang Bot Ward, Dong Da, Hanoi) is anchored and repaired at Nosco ShipYard Ship Repair Joint Stock Company suddenly explode.

According to initial information, at the scene identified 8 injured and burned people, all workers of Shell Workshop 3, Nosco ShipYard Ship Repair Joint Stock Company.
The victims include:
1. Le Duy Toi (born in 1984, born in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province);
2. Nguyen Van Tuyen (born in 1985, born in Nam Kim commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province);
3. Vo Xuan Ngoc (born in 1979, from Duc Dong commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province);
4. Pham Van Nghia (from Nam Giang commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province);
5. Hoang Huu Tan (born in 1976, born in Nam Dien commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province);
6. Dang Khac Hung (born in 1983, born in Nam Kim commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province);
7. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1984, born in Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province);
8. Do Ngoc Tuan Do (born in 1979, hometown Dung Tien, Vinh Bao, Hai Phong).
Immediately after receiving information about the case, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Acting Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province, directed Quang Yen town, the health sector, and the provincial police to mobilize forces and means to be present. At the scene, organize rescue and rescue, extinguish the fire, determine the cause of the fire and explosion.
According to the authorities of Quang Yen town, 8 injured workers were taken to the Vietnam-Sweden Hospital Uong Bi for emergency treatment; in which 3 people with stable health are discharged from the hospital, 5 other workers are continuing to be monitored and treated.
The fire is under control, work is over fire extinguishing foam spray.
The initial cause was determined to be due to the occurrence of an accident during the repair process.
After the accident happened, representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs organized a visit to the victims.
Currently, Quang Ninh Provincial Police and Quang Yen Town Police are coordinating to investigate the cause of the occupational accident./.
