Rainbow Six Siege on Japan time for its new limited event, Rengoku

His name is Rengoku and will offer a special type mode Control, with reappearances. 2 teams of 5 characters called Devotees et Possessed will compete on a modified version of the map Skyscraper to defend the colors of the Sun Goddess or the Thunder God, with shotguns and kunai overpowered. Otherwise, it will unlock uniforms, head gear, skins of weapon and agent card portraits inspired by Asian culture.

This season, Rainbow Six Siege presents an event that is sure to catch the eye of the Moon herself.

An eternal battle between the Sun Goddess and the Thunder God rages on. Both deities call upon their mortal worshipers to capture the sacred flames of the altars. Inhabited by ancient spirits and armed with powerful kunai, agents embody the role of Devotees and Possessed. The race will be frantic to find the flames, seize the altars and gain the favor of the gods in order to regain freedom.

Take part in this celestial battle and escape the chains of purgatory. Welcome to Rengoku!

THE WARRIORS
During this battle in the clouds, the agents abandon their usual roles as attackers and defenders, as well as their identities, in order to devote themselves entirely to the search for the sacred flames for their temporary divine protector.

On one side, we have The Devout, fighting for the victory of the Sun:

Fuze calls himself Homura and warms up for the fight; Capitao, here called Masurao, slips into position to strike; Zofia is dying to get started and is now known as Kagerou; Twitch is preparing a good harvest in this battle, in the guise of Kagaribi; Osa, now called Kasumi, scans the area to prepare the ground.

In opposition we have the Possessed, who work for the triumph of Thunder:

Bandit prepares to electrify the foes he encounters as the mighty Ikazuchi; Maestro stands guard as Mononofu, preventing any intrusion; Kapkan prowls the area, ready to pounce, and responds to the name Hagane; Thunderbird, now called Taoyame, is swift as the wind; Rook is biding his time to neutralize the threats inside Tachikaze.

TOURNAMENT
Rengoku takes place in a mysterious temple with a new Control-type game mode, featuring Respawn. The match begins with three active altars among seven locations. Every two minutes, the three active altars change location and must be recaptured. If you stay in the room of an altar, you will capture it and your team will start racking up favors.

Altars can be captured by the opposing team if they remain in the room without being attacked. In this case, your team will no longer gain favor and the opposing team will receive it. Be vigilant to stay in control!

During this event, both teams are equipped with shotguns as their primary weapon, so be careful around the corners. Special throwing knives called kunai can also be used as secondary weapons. Each kunai generates, on impact, a specific effect depending on the agent (flaming, poisonous, deafening, recoil effect) without risk of friendly fire. Beware, though: when used as a primary weapon, kunai can destroy walls and kill opponents with one well-placed hit.

The team that reaches the required number of points first or has the most points when the time runs out wins the match.

THE COLLECTION
This event will be accompanied by the Rengoku Collection, which includes uniforms, headgear, weapon skins, and agent card portraits for Rengoku competitors. Rengoku mode will also come with the Spirit of Fight Pack, which includes a signature weapon skin, universal prop skin, charm, and background.

Rengoku Collection Packs can be obtained by completing Special Event Challenges, or can be purchased for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown per unit. Individual packs can also be purchased directly for 1,680 R6 Credits each.
