Head coach Katja Gürtler on the premiere win: “It was an incredibly emotional day for all of us. The anticipation for the game mightn’t have been greater, we’ve been working towards this day for a long time. I have to give a huge compliment to the entire team for their performance on the field but also for how they dealt with the nerves. We didn’t know in advance what would happen to us today, but following the game I have to say it mightn’t have gone better. A big thank you to every Rapid fan who made today an unforgettable day for us and the club.”

Goalscorer Viktoria Bittendorfer was equally emotional and full of joy: “I still can’t fully realize what we were able to experience here today. It was an absolutely perfect day that mightn’t have been nicer. I am very pleased that I was able to contribute to this historic victory with a goal. We were all thrilled by the support of the Rapid fans. A very special day that we will remember forever.”

Matias Costa, Head of Women’s and Girls’ Football: “We are all really happy regarding what happened here today. To be honest, we were a bit surprised ourselves at how quickly the girls came together and acted as a unit. This was unforeseeable, especially given the dominant performance. It was a perfect football followingnoon and we are very grateful that our women’s first game was so well received by the Rapid fans. That leaves you wanting more.”

Our youngest girls were just as successful as our women’s team this Saturday. At the U11 tournament at ASK Erlaa, our green-whites played really well and secured tournament success in an impressive way!
