Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble Shutting Down in 2027

Ratchet and Clank: Ranger Rumble is shutting down its servers on May 1st, 2027, after developers decided to cease production on the free-to-play arena battle game. The final planned update for the mobile multiplayer title rolls out today, November 6th, 2026, according to rangerrumble.com.

Netmarble developed the multiplayer title, which brought familiar characters from the franchise into fast-paced combat with cell-shaded graphics and real-time mechanics, Thisisgame Thailand reported. Players could select heroes from past games, each featuring unique skills.

Store Delisting and Final Update Schedule

The development team scheduled the final planned update to roll out on the Apple App Store and Google Play Stores on November 6th, 2026. Ranger Rumble will then be removed from digital storefronts on November 21st, 2026, preventing any new players from downloading the application. Existing players who have already installed the game can continue to play until the servers permanently shut down on May 1st, 2027.

All current game modes, matchmaking systems, and competitive features will remain active until the end of service date. No additional game updates are planned following the November 7th release.

Changes to in-Game Purchases and Currency

In-app purchases have been removed from the game, halting all real-money transactions. The Super Pass is now free, allowing players to earn all content throughout each season. The Qwark Pass seasons will continue running until May 1st, 2027, giving users time to utilize earned or purchased currency on upgrades, cosmetics, characters, and currencies.

Players have until the end of service on May 1st, 2027, to claim and spend any unclaimed rewards or unused in-game currency. Eligibility for refunds on previous purchases is handled directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Players Receive Pre Registration Rewards Before Server Data Wipe

Pre-registration rewards are available to all players logging into the November 7th update and can be found directly within the in-game inbox. All player data and progress will be permanently wiped from the servers when the game shuts down on May 1st, 2027, and player data cannot be transferred to any other game.

Players wishing to delete their data ahead of the final shutdown date can contact player support. The closure of Ranger Rumble has no impact on other games in the franchise or separate PlayStation services.
