Red Bull registers 2023 F1 engine name as “Honda RBPT”[F1-Gate.com]

The Honda name is back on the 2023 F1 entry list.

The FIA (International Automobile Federation) has announced the entry list for the 2023 F1 World Championship. The engine name of Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri was described as “Honda RBPT”.

Honda will withdraw from F1 after the 2021 season. The engine that Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri will use in 2022 will also be made by Honda (HRC) manufactured by Sakura in Japan, but it was registered with Red Bull Powertrains, Red Bull’s engine division, on the entry list. .

In October of this year, Honda and the Red Bull Group strengthened their partnership with the aim of further developing motorsports. The Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri machines have a new Honda logo on the engine cover in addition to the HRC logo. The deal will continue in 2023.

I don’t know if “Honda RBPT” will remain in the 2023 F1 entry list in future updates, but Honda’s name has returned to F1 for the time being.
