A new case of monkey pox was reported in the department of Atlántico. It was known following obtaining a positive result from a PCR test that was being analyzed for the study of the disease.
This is a person residing in the municipality of Soledadbut was infected abroad, so it is considered an imported case.
In this way, a surveillance team keeps in isolation to the infected person and strictly monitors close contacts.
With this, it would be the second case that occurs in a municipality of the department of Atlantic. 15 days ago an imported case was reported in Malambo.
