It’s a time of year that gives some people very bad ideas. Thursday, around 1 p.m., an individual entered the night business on the Hingeon Grand Route. Not to buy cigarettes or newspapers but to grab the contents of the till. He first asked the manager, alone behind her counter. But she told him that she had nothing available as the coins and notes were entered into a machine to which employees and managers do not have access. The man, angry, then attacked the lady. He grabbed her and shook her before asking her back and leaving with the store keys. “He left with packets of cigarettes, added the Namur public prosecutor’s office on Friday. It is not certain that he displayed a weapon but he was very virulent.”

Half an hour later, the police received a new report of another robbery at the Intermarché in Rhisnes. “The perpetrator threatened the cashier with a knife and had the cash drawer opened. The loot amounted to several thousand euros.

According to the investigation, it is the same individual. Thanks to the description of his vehicle, he was arrested in Walloon Brabant. He was brought before an investigating judge this Friday.
