Salesforce Updates Agentforce Pricing and Editions to Drive AI Adoption

Salesforce has restructured its Agentforce Sales and Service pricing tiers, bundling analytics, security, Slack, and expanded Flex Credits into top editions to accelerate enterprise adoption.

A year after rebranding its core CRM suites, Salesforce is shaking up its software editions. The top three tiers for Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service now bundle AI agents, analytics, Slack integrations, and security capabilities alongside significantly larger allocations of Flex Credits. At the same time, two of these primary tiers are increasing in price.

Unpacking the New Salesforce Agentforce Pricing Tiers

Under the updated structure, the Core edition replaces the legacy Enterprise tier, rising from $175 to $195 per user per month while including 500,000 Flex Credits. The Advanced edition climbs to $395 per user per month with 1 million credits, superseding the $350 monthly Unlimited tier. Meanwhile, the Max edition replaces Agentforce 1, maintaining its $550 monthly fee but boosting its credit allocation from 1 million to 2.75 million Flex Credits, according to company blog posts.

The lowest tiers—Starter and Pro Suite—remain untouched in feature sets and pricing, though signals suggest the latter may soon be renamed to Professional edition. Existing Agentforce 1 tier customers can transition to the new Max edition at no added cost, and future Max tiers across sales and service will incorporate an allocation for Headless 360.

These adjustments follow broader pricing shifts within the ecosystem.

What Is Bundled into Sales and Service Editions

The revised editions absorb several tools that previously required separate add-on purchases. For Agentforce Sales, the Core tier now incorporates Momentum, Slack Business+, and Tableau Next. Advanced adds Sales Programs, the Premier Success Plan, and expanded security protocols. The Max tier packs in Agentforce for Sales, Agentforce Coworker, Salesforce Spiff, Sales Planning, Sales Programs, Salesforce Maps, Slack Enterprise+, and advanced Tableau Next functions.

On the service side, Agentforce Service Core features case management, a self-service Help Center, Slack Business+, and Slackbot. Advanced integrates the Agentforce Help Agent, Premier Success Plan, full sandbox environments, Backup & Recover, and Data Detect. Max introduces the Service Rep Assistant, Workforce Engagement, Quality Management, IT Service, unmetered Agentforce Coworker access, and a comprehensive library of service agent templates.

The Enterprise Dilemma: Procurement Simplicity Versus Credit Visibility

While Salesforce asserts that the updated bundles deliver between 50% and 70% greater value than their predecessors, market analysts urge caution as organizations scale their AI deployments beyond initial proof-of-concept phases.

Manoj Chandra Jha, principal analyst at Nord-IQ Research, notes that bundling these capabilities simplifies initial software procurement. However, it simultaneously compresses line-item visibility. Because enterprise finance teams are still mastering how to forecast consumption-based workloads, losing discrete tracking makes it difficult for Chief Information Officers to accurately evaluate ROI against rival platforms or determine which specific components drive value.

Pareekh Jain, principal analyst at Pareekh Consulting, echoes these reservations regarding realized utility. As Jain points out, theoretical value disappears if employees leave bundled features or Flex Credits sitting idle. Conversely, rapid agent scaling can quickly exhaust allocated credits, forcing organizations into unexpected auxiliary purchases.

Neutralizing Adoption Barriers and Market Traction

Industry observers interpret the bundle expansion primarily as a strategic push to accelerate adoption across the existing install base. Investment analysts previously questioned Agentforce customer traction due to messy enterprise data readiness and software maturity concerns. Salesforce countered those doubts by highlighting internal metrics, noting that customers increased their average number of active agents from five in February 2025 to 13 by April 2026, alongside a 31% compound monthly growth rate in agent actions per account.

Agentforce Pricing Update! Salesforce Announces Major Changes

Jha observes that with Agentforce deployed across only a fraction of Salesforce’s 150,000-plus customer base, integrating security and analytics directly into every tier neutralizes common buyer objections before prospects can raise them. By reducing friction, Salesforce aims to convert experimental demo projects into scaled, production-grade workflows.
