2023-08-07 11:46:27

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 was launched in July 2023 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 8 GB of RAM and a humble 3700 mAh battery. The outside screen has an HD resolution, with a 60 Hz refresh rate and 3.4 “physical size. The device’s interior display has a FullHD resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 6.7 “.

Prepare your pockets, because the Galaxy Z Flip 5, at the time we are recording this video, is not selling for less than R$ 8,000.00.

It is obvious that who will compete with the Flip 5 is the recent Razr 40 Ultra, Motorola’s new foldable. It’s true that the two do not have the same processor, but the firepower of the two is very similar and does not differ that much. Plus, who knows, maybe a surprise happens and the Razr ends up winning the dispute?

We’re talking regarding cell phones over R$7,000.00 here, so it’s to be expected that everything we’re going to play today will be on the maximum graphics quality, it’s true? Sparing no effort. Go there for the tests.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 test in heavy games

Asphalt 9

To start our test session, we have Asphalt 9, which ran masterfully on our Z Flip 5.

Yours frame average was 60with one 99% stability e 3:10 hours of autonomy is the battery

The Razr had practically the same result, finishing with an average of 59 FPS and 100% stability.

✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for the two tested smartphones.

COD Mobile

Call Of Duty Mobile ran very well, but something strange happened during the game: a visual bug. It might be hard to tell in the footage, but there are lots of blue spots on the ground, probably where there would be light and shadow effects. It’s probably a simple bug that will be resolved as soon as this video goes live, but it’s interesting to comment on this unprecedented fact.

Finally, the Flip took the average 60 FPScom 99% stability is autonomy of 4:50h of battery life.

The Razr 40 Ultra achieved a feedback of 60 FPS and 100% stability.

✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for the two devices.

Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal ran very well on both smartphones, but it didn’t enable the “ultra” resolution, just the “high” one.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 took the jig from 60 frames of mediacom 100% stability and a pleasant autonomy of 3:40h duration is the battery

The Razr narrowly missed out, as it scored 60 FPS as well, albeit with a stability of 99%.

✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for both cell phones.

eFootball

In eFootball the gameplay went smoothly, exactly as it was supposed to be.

Flip happened a 59 FPS averagecom 100% stability is very high autonomy of 6:10h of battery life.

The Razr also easily took eFootball with maximum graphics, scoring an average of 60 FPS, with 100% stability.

✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for the two devices tested.

Fortnite

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is to be congratulated, as this was one of the best Fortnite performances that has ever passed through our channel.

A average frames was 60with one minimum of 54all this with the graphics at the maximum of the maximum, without sparing efforts.

The Razr 40 Ultra floundered in the test, scoring just 36 frames on average, with a low of 20.

✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for the Flip 5.

Free Fire

Arriving at Frifas time, know that none of the devices impressed. both smartphones stayed at the same 60 FPSwith nothing more to add.

Flip 5 ended with a 100% stability is autonomy of 4:55h of battery life.

As for the Razr, it also stuck at 60 frames, with 100% stability.

✔️The village Flat Wheel✔️ for the two phones tested.

Genshin Impact

We are noticing a pattern in Genshin, as both the Flip and the Razr disappoint in this heavy game.

Flip happened a 40 FPS average a 98% stability e 4:00 hours duration battery life with graphics at max.

The Razr suffered even more here, scoring just 30 frames on average, with 98% stability.

⚠️The village Wheels⚠️ for both cell phones, a sadness.

Mortal Kombat

In Mortalzinho, the two cell phones performed satisfactorily, never leaving something to be desired.

Flip took the Stunning average 120 FPScom 100% stability is autonomy of 4:30h of battery life.

The Razr narrowly won the battle, as it scored an average of 121 frames with 100% stability.

Anyway, ????Competitive Wheel Seal???? for both smartphones.

PUBG

An interesting thing that happened at this stage was that Flip did not allow us to play in the highest graphic quality, crashing in HDR. Not even with GFX Tools it was possible to go further while the FPS was set to 90, which is unheard of, since no other cell phone had this problem.

Flip’s average frame rate was 77 framescom 78% stability is autonomy of 3:40h of battery life.

The Razr, oddly enough, stuck at 60 average frames, with a stability of 100%.

Tower of Fantasy

Arriving at the final stretch of our test, we have Tower Of Fantasy bringing with it some difficulties for Flip.

He scored an average of 77 FPScom 81% stability only, and one 2:40h battery of duration.

The Razr remained quieter with an average of 60 frames and a stability of 99%.

Despite being a ????Competitive Wheel Seal???? for Flip, he didn’t do very well in Tower Of Fantasy, choking a lot during the game.

Farlight 84

Finally, here’s the video’s most surprising performance: Farlight 84.

The Flip achieved the feat of reaching the 94 FPS averagecom 72% stability and an autonomy of 3:15 hours long the battery, impressive.

The Razr stayed at that normal 60 FPS pace, with 100% stability, nothing wrong there.

Something that caught my attention in Flip’s performance, however, was the fact that it releases 120 frames in Farlight, but loses 20% of that capacity over time. I can’t say if it’s because of the heating, but the important thing is that, even though the framerate reaches 120, the Flip doesn’t keep that number for a long time and drops to 70, 80 frames in a few moments.

Anyway, ????Competitive Wheel Seal???? for Samsung cell phone.

Temperature

We played an hour of COD Mobile to find out how much battery is lost in that period, as well as the temperature of the device’s screen. After that one hour of gameplay, Flip warmed up ????16°C???? on its surface and lost ????23%???? of charge. These are worrisome numbers, but you can ease the Flip side, since it is a foldable and has its limitations. However, it is important to give due credit to Samsung for managing to improve one more and more, following all, we remember how bad the batteries and temperature management of previous Flips were.

Conclusion

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the Flip 5. Its design is amazing, the cameras are great, and the screens are luxury items. What happens is that, with performance at least, it is a controversial device. As much as the Flip has firepower with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it is still a foldable, with physical and temperature limitations, cutting off its potential. The summary is that, you can play without any problem on the Flip, however, in longer games, the device can choke and reduce its power so as not to explode in your hand.

With that said, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 takes the ????Competitive Wheel Seal???? in our game test, occupying the sixth place in our top-of-the-line smartphone ranking.
