Samsung announced a new feature that it will provide to some Galaxy smartphones, which will preserve phone batteries and improve the performance of devices while playing video games on them.

According to Samsung, the new feature called Pause USB Power Delivery will be offered as an option through the settings of the GameBooster application, which is available in the Game Launcher menu on phones.

The main goal of the new feature is to stop passing power to the battery while the phone is connected to the charger at the time of playing video games, and to deliver power directly to the processor, which, according to the developers, will contribute to preserving the battery from damage and overheating, and at the same time improving the performance of processors while playing games.

The SamMobile website, which specializes in technical affairs, indicated that the serious feature will be available in the recent Galaxy S23 phones, and Samsung may also provide it for the S22, Z Fold 2, Z Fold 3, Z Fold 4 and some other Galaxy phones, and to benefit from it, the phone must be connected to a charger. It has a capacity of 45 watts while playing video games.

Samsung’s announcement of this feature was welcomed by some phone users, while others feared that this feature would be “harmful” to phones instead of protecting them from damage.
