This is not new, fake bpost emails are circulating. These emails generally inform you of additional costs related to a parcel delivery and invite you to enter your bank details. This phishing scheme is quite well known.
The novelty is that the scammers use the new ChatGPT artificial intelligence, currently widely used, to write very convincing emails. A new wave of such emails is reported.
“Be careful when you receive one of these emails. As a reminder, it is possible to install the bpost application, which makes it possible to verify the reality of the email since a copy appears there…”, warns the police of Grâce-Hollogne / Awans who warns the people affected by this scam .
