And the committee supervising the unified Friday prayer in Baghdad, which is affiliated with the Sadrist movement, announced that the date for the prayer will be held in Sadr City.
A statement by the committee stated, “The committee supervising the establishment of unified Friday prayers in Baghdad held an expanded meeting to discuss the development of the latest touches for the success of this obligation.”
He added, “The committee announced the completion of preparations for this occasion, the most important of which is determining the location of the prayer, which will be near the building of the office of the martyr al-Sadr (may God sanctify his secret) – formerly – Sector 14 in Sadr City, this Friday.”
Earlier, the Sadrist movement, led by Muqtada al-Sadr, announced its intention to hold Friday prayers in Baghdad and all provinces except Basra.
