Al-Marsad newspaper: An international team of scientists discovered that the famous weight-loss drug semaglutide can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
According to the New England Journal of Medicine, the aforementioned drug can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, including myocardial infarction and stroke, in obese people by 20 percent.
It is noteworthy that semaglutide was originally prescribed for people with type 2 diabetes, but its use has recently increased in weight loss in adults who suffer from overweight and at least one other health problem.
