In a collision at a vintage car event in south-eastern Styria on Friday afternoon, a 63-year-old driver from Vienna was thrown out of the vehicle and seriously injured. According to the police, a total of four people, including a three-year-old girl, were injured in the traffic accident in Stang near Riegersburg.
The Viennese driver was traveling with his 63-year-old wife. He should have overlooked the car of a 41-year-old coming from the right in the area of an intersection with Hatzendorferstraße (L224). When the two vehicles collided, the 63-year-old, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the classic car and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Oberwart Regional Hospital by rescue helicopter. His passenger was also seriously injured in the accident and taken to Feldbach Regional Hospital.
The 41-year-old and her three-year-old daughter, who was sitting in the back seat, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Feldbach Regional Hospital.
