Shesterkin breaks 51-year-old NHL playoff record

Tampa Bay Lightning won New York Rangers in the fourth match of the Stanley Cup semi-final playoff series – 4: 1.

Away goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin saved 26 shots. The goalkeeper passed the mark of 600 saves in one playoff season. At the same time, it took Shesterkin the least number of matches in league history – 18 matches. The last best result was set by Ken Dryden in 1971 – for 19 matches.

The score in the series was equal – 2-2. The fifth match of the confrontation is scheduled for June 10.
