Shopping Night in Wels is extended for the first time

The shopping night traditionally takes place in Wels on the Friday before school starts. This year, for the first time, there will be a Shopping Week in the last week of vacation from September 4th to 8th. In addition to the downtown shops and restaurants, the shops in the max.center and SCW shopping centers as well as XXXLutz are also taking part with a colorful program and activities. The furniture giant will roll out a 1000 meter long red carpet in the city center on the occasion of the “100 days of reopening” of its Wels furniture store.

XXXLutz company spokesman Thomas Saliger emphasizes that they want to use the company’s power and also bring many consumers from the large catchment area to Wels.

Michael Wipplinger, chairman of the Wels merchant team, is convinced of the new concept: “We find the expansion of the shopping week both in terms of time and space particularly appealing, as this is the only way we can be an attractive experience for the whole of Austria,” he says.

The week ends on September 8th with the Shopping Night. Many shops in the city center are open until 10 p.m. At the Wheel of Fortune on Bawag-Platz, customers with a bill of 100 euros or more can win valuable prizes such as Wels Cards from the entire shopping week.
