Samyang Foods announced that it will participate as an official sponsor in the ‘2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games’ to be held in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province from January 19 to February 1.
The Winter Youth Olympics is a competition started by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to discover future Olympic stars and spread the Olympic spirit to youth around the world, and is held every four years like the existing Olympics.
Samyang Foods contributed to the successful hosting of this competition, which was held for the first time in Asia, and supported the excellence of K-food by sponsoring various ramen and snacks such as ‘Buldak’, which has grown into a global brand during the competition, as well as Maptaeng, Kutik, and Jjanggu. The plan is to provide an opportunity to experience Korean food culture.
Accordingly, about 80,000 products, including hot chicken stir-fry noodles, hot chicken sauce, and maple syrup, will be provided in major spaces such as the players’ lounge and media center so that the players, coaches, reporters, and operating personnel can easily eat. In particular, after the end of the competition, a ‘goodbye kit’ consisting of Buldak and Maptaeng products will be given as a gift to the players returning home.
An official from Samyang Foods said, “We hope for a successful hosting of the Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics,” and added, “We will actively do our best to help everyone who participated in these Olympics create good memories.”
Meanwhile, Samyang Group is carrying out various social contribution activities under the vision of ‘a company that makes life rich and convenient’.
