storm over medical examiners for the song and dance video –

Medical examiners dancing and singing in front of a corpse. An over the top session of ‘Live Autopsy’ took place during a training course of the Italian Society of Forensic Medicine. The song? ‘Gioca Jouer’ by Claudio Cecchetto. The video that has now gone viral has sparked a storm on social media. Some medical examiners immediately dissociated themselves, asked for explanations and announced that they wanted to request disciplinary measures from the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci and the president of Fnomceo, the Federation of Medical Associations, Filippo Anelli.

Serious conditions: the monkey virus is scary, the case is alarming

«It is unbecoming behavior even if done abroad. But there are Italian colleagues involved. No one would imagine dancing in a teaching or autopsy room. I believe that the profession deserves respect and also requires respect towards corpses. On the part of the medical associations there will be an ethical assessment of the behavior of the professionals involved”, is the reaction to Adnkronos from the president of the National Federation of Medical Associations (Fnomceo), Anelli.

Abortion in the Charter of Rights, raid on the European Parliament: the centre-right rises

Francesco Introna, president of the Italian Society of Forensic Medicine (Simla), also harshly commented on the images: «The behavior captured in the video is reprehensible and foreign to medico-legal culture. Autopsies, like surgical interventions, are carried out by specialists in the sector and the ethical behavior of Italian medical examiners has always been based on the utmost respect for the dignity of the corpse and its relatives. We would like to point out – adds President Simla – that the course referred to was not organized nor sponsored by the Italian Society of Forensic Medicine. It was a teaching exercise carried out abroad and not a judicial autopsy.”
